Branding for a new chain of coffee shops

BRIEF: Develop a logo and brand identity for a eco-friendly and ethically focused coffee shop chain in Gloucestershire

With the understanding that the company would use fair trade coffee from the Marecabo region of Venezuela I started by looking at the colours of the region. The organic focus of the company combined with their vision to open more stores suggested the idea of growth, and so the three leaf idea was concepted.

The typeface for the logo came about when I looked at the some scribbles upside down and like th idea of the "a" and "e" mirroring each other. .As the "b" was the only ascender letter it was the only position to incorporate the leaves.
